ManyChat integration (WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)

This guide explains how to connect ManyChat to Newo.ai so conversations from supported social channels route to your AI Employee. Use this when you want your AI Employee to respond to messages from Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, or Telegram direct messages.

Prerequisites

  • ManyChat Pro account or higher.

  • Target social channels already connected in ManyChat (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, Telegram).

Important

The required social channels (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, Telegram) must be connected in ManyChat before proceeding with this guide. Here are ManyChat guides for each social channel:

Install the Newo.ai template in ManyChat

Once you've logged into your ManyChat account, met the above prerequisites, and have connected your social profiles:

  1. Open the following template: ManyChat/Newo Template.

  2. Click Install.

  3. Locate the customer’s ManyChat account and click Install.

  4. Click Install Now.

  5. Navigate to Automation → My Automations and select the Newo folder to confirm the flows appear in your account.

Generate a ManyChat API key

  1. In ManyChat, go to Settings → API.

  2. Click Generate Your API Key and copy the value.

Configure your Newo.ai project

  1. On the Newo.ai Platform, navigate to your customers' Builder.

  2. Go to the Projects page and click the three dots icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Click Create New Project.

  4. Fill in the following fields and ensure Auto update enabled has been activated:

    • Idn: manychat

    • Title: manychat

    • Module: manychat

  5. Click Create.

  6. Click the three dots icon next to the newly created Project.

  7. Click Force Update Project.

Connect Manychat to your Newo.ai account

  1. Navigate to the Attributes page.

  2. Type “manychat” into the search field and click the toggle Show Hidden.

  3. Paste the ManyChat API Key into the “ManyChat - API Token” attribute.

  4. Click Save and Publish All.

  5. Confirm the connectors appear on the Integrations page.

Confirm default reply

For each social platform, ensure the Default Reply setting is connected to the appropriate Newo.ai template.

  1. In ManyChat, navigate to Settings, and under Channels, click the social platform you want to connect to your AI Employee.

  2. For Default Reply, ensure the appropriate Newo.ai template is selected for that specific channel.

  3. Repeat for all social channels.

Confirm default reply trigger

  1. Navigate to Automation → My Automations and select the template for the social platform you are connecting to.

  2. Click the first “When” step.

  3. Under When this happens, click the every time toggle.

Send a test message

Send a test message to the social channel you connected to and wait for a reply from your AI Employee. If you don’t get a response, go through the above steps again to ensure you didn’t miss something.
