This guide will help diagnose and resolve issues when an AI Employee stops responding to Instagram messages through ManyChat integration.
Symptoms
Your customer reports that their Instagram automation is not working. Messages sent through Instagram are not receiving responses from the AI Employee, even though the integration was previously functional.
Root cause
A platform update may have introduced connector type validation that affects Instagram integrations configured using an older method. If the original setup did not include a dedicated ManyChat project, the system may skip the connector and stop sending replies.
Diagnosis
Open your customer's AI Employee in the Builder.
Navigate to Projects from the left-side navigation.
Check for a ManyChat project.
If no ManyChat project exists, the integration requires reconfiguration.
Solution
To resolve the issue, reconnect Instagram through a proper ManyChat project:
Contact your customer and request access to their ManyChat account.
Follow the official documentation to connect the Instagram integration: ManyChat integration (WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
Create a new ManyChat project.
Test the integration by sending a message through Instagram and confirming the AI Employee responds.
