This guide explains how to purchase a phone number through the Newo Twilio account. After completing this process you will have an active Twilio number ready to be connected to a Newo AI Employee.

Complete the telephony setup overview to confirm that Twilio is the correct provider for your target country.

This guide does not cover how to obtain access to the Newo Twilio account. If you do not have credentials, request access via the #newo-access-request channel on Slack.

Use the Twilio search bar at the top of the console.

Select Buy A Number from the search results.

Click Buy next to the number you want to purchase.

Select Business as the end-user type.

Always select Business. Individual end-user types are not used for Newo AI Employee numbers.

Configure the regulatory and address assignments:

The Number Purchased confirmation screen appears. The purchased number is displayed in E.164 format.

Record the full phone number in E.164 format (e.g. <code>+49 15888 631407</code>). You will need it to configure the Newo agent connector.

Configure the Twilio connector to link this number to your AI Employee.
