This guide explains how to set the project_business_name attribute so your AI Employee uses the correct business name in emails, SMS messages, and voice conversations.
What the business name controls
The Business Name attribute (project_business_name) is the name for the business. The AI Employee references this name across all communication channels:
Email: Appears in email signatures and subject headers.
SMS: Included in text messages sent to customers.
Voice: Used in greeting phrases during phone conversations. If a phonetic name is configured, the AI Employee substitutes it during speech while keeping the original name for written text.
Reports and sessions: Displayed as the business label in session events and reporting dashboards.
ποΈ NOTE
For businesses with multiple locations, include the location in the name to distinguish between agents. For example, use "Image Orthodontics - Pacific Heights" instead of "Image Orthodontics."
Set the business name
Open the Builder.
Navigate to Attributes > Business.
Locate the Business Name attribute (
project_business_name).Enter a short business name of two to five words.
Click Save.
The AI Employee begins using the updated name within a few minutes.

ββ IMPORTANT
For the hospitality industry, the business name must match the exact hotel name as listed on Google. The AI Employee uses this name when checking room availability through third-party integrations. A mismatch causes availability lookups to fail. For full setup details, see Configure booking flow for the hospitality industry.
Phonetic name for voice pronunciation
If the AI Employee mispronounces the business name during voice calls, you can set a phonetic version in the project_business_name_phonetic attribute. This field accepts IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) transcription and is used only for voice and speech output. The original project_business_name value continues to appear in all written channels (email, SMS, chat).
For instructions on configuring phonetic pronunciation, see Controlling pronunciation with IPA.
