Add a business description
This guide explains how to set the project_business_story attribute so your AI Employee understands what the business does and can provide relevant, personalized responses to customers.
What the business description controls
The Business Description attribute (project_business_story) is a brief overview of the business in one to two paragraphs. The system injects this text directly into the agent's prompt where it references it to:
Answer questions about the business, such as "What do you do?" or "What makes you different?"
Match the tone and personality of the business in conversation.
❗❗ IMPORTANT
Without a business description, the AI Employee gives generic responses and cannot speak to what makes the business unique. Always populate this attribute during initial setup. The more details you provide, the better the AI Employee can represent the business in customer interactions.
Add the business description
Open the Builder.
Navigate to Attributes > Business.
Locate the Business Description attribute (
project_business_story).Enter one to two paragraphs that describe the business. Focus on:
What the business does
What makes it unique or different from competitors
Any key details customers frequently ask about
Click Save.
Writing tips
Keep it concise. One to two paragraphs is ideal. The description is injected into every agent prompt, so shorter text keeps the context efficient.
Focus on differentiators. Highlight what makes the business stand out rather than listing every service.
Write naturally. The AI Employee uses this text as context, not as a script. Write it the way you would describe the business to a new customer.
Include location details. If the business is known for a specific neighborhood, region, or landmark, mention it.
