This guide explains how to set the project_business_website_url attribute so your AI Employee can share the correct website with customers and use it in SMS and email templates.
What the website link controls
The Business Website Link attribute (project_business_website_url) stores the official website URL for the business. The AI Employee uses this link in several ways:
Business context: The URL is included in the agent's prompt under "Business contact information," allowing the agent to reference the website during conversations.
SMS and email sharing: When the agent cannot answer a question, it may offer to send the website link via SMS: "I don't have information on that topic, but you can find more details on our website. I'll send you the website address via SMS right now."
Reservation fallback: For restaurants without a Google Booking reservation link configured, the website URL is included in SMS and email templates for reservations: "Please use this link to reserve a table: [website_url]."
Chat widget integration: The URL is used when configuring the chat widget connection.

The business website is NOT automatically scraped for the AI Employee's knowledge base. To add website content as knowledge, use the project_attributes_rag_knowledge_base_append_websites attribute separately.
Set the website link
Open the Builder.
Navigate to Attributes > Business.
Locate the Business Website Link (URL) attribute (
project_business_website_url).Enter the full website URL including
https://.Click Save.
Website guidelines by business type
Business type | What to enter | Example |
Single location | The main business website. | |
Multi-location | The specific website for the location this agent supports. | |
Call center | The main website for the entire network. |
What happens if the website is empty
If the attribute is left empty:
The agent cannot share a website link with callers when they ask for one.
SMS and email templates that reference the website URL will include a blank link.
The agent still functions normally for all other tasks.
